Wolf Alice – ‘Bros’

Wolf Alice are an exiting indie outfit that have morphed both their sound and line up a number of times since their arrival onto the London music scene back sometime last year. These hot young things have only gone from strength to strength since their slide-guitar infused noisy folk banger ‘leaving you’ made a significant impact on the blogosphere 6 months ago. Since then they’ve seen a packed out headline show at the notoriously taste-making Old Blue Last just days after their grungy single ‘fluffy’ began to get some press coverage and radio play. Just 8 days ago ‘Bros’ appeared in my Soundcloud dashboard, an almost bluesy number which has been a solid part of their live sets for the best part of a year. The song is truly inspirational, encapsulating that sense of being care-free in the safety of the tightest of friendships. Please enjoy it here:

Wolf Alice have already proved that they have the ability to create catchy and courageous indie pop tunes, not hindered in the slightest by Ellie Rowsell’s non-gimmicky and on the ball stance as the bands lead songwriter and front-woman. I hear their looking to get a full length EP out in the near future, but until then ‘Bros’ is out via Chess Club Records on the 20th of May. Pre order the 7” Vinyl here:

James Sutcliffe.
